Dabney, Dunlora, Charlottesville, Va., writes a gossipy letter to Noland in Baltimore conveying news of family and friends. she reports that "Mildred" gets drunk every Christmas, that Louis Smith is not as handsome as Tom Randolph, Christmas at home was more fun than Christmas at Edge Hill, Sally Lewis is in school in Richmond and Ann Lewis in school in Charlottesville, Lucy Minor is marrying Mr. Trice of Essex, Dr. Davis has a new son, and that she is not responsible for a trick played on Ella.
